Ismat Awan is an Australian-Pakistani, multi-skilled culinary creative based in Sydney, Australia. Her vocational and professional experience extends the globe with links to Timor-Leste, France, Switzerland, and Australia. She has graduated with a Grand Diplôme of Pâtisserie and Cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu Sydney and Paris, and a Bachelor’s Degree in the Science of International Hospitality Management at École Hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland.
Her third culture kid*, international approach and culinary curiosity to food led her to work at Pierre Hermès (Paris), RockPool on George (Sydney), Simon Johnson (Sydney) and more. Ismat is the proud owner of Third Culture Kid Food Pty Ltd which covers a range of service offerings including recipe ideation, development, testing and editing, photo cheffing, food producing, culinary copywriting, menu planning, ingredient sourcing, food consulting and content creation across print and online media, tv, and film.
Ismat’s ability to elevate any food project is clear, with her eye for every delicious detail along with her kind, collaborative demeanor.
